Quality Assurance
How the university checks that what it promises is what it delivers.
Quality assurance is the standing check that teaching, assessment and student support are doing what the programme documents say they do — and the mechanism for fixing it when they are not.
The office works on a yearly cycle: each programme reviews itself against its own stated outcomes, the review is scrutinised independently, and the actions that follow are tracked to completion rather than filed.
Its instruments are the course file, class observation, student evaluation of teaching, external examination and the annual programme review. Each has its own page under this section.
