The academic calendar sets the shape of the year: when teaching begins and ends in each semester, when the examination periods fall, and which days the university is closed.
It is issued by the Registrar's Office before the start of the academic year and is the authority for every deadline elsewhere on this site. Where a departmental timetable differs from the calendar, the calendar stands.
The current year's calendar is published as a document on this page. Download it and check the dates that apply to your college — the examination weeks are not identical across all programmes.
